NAIOP New Jersey Committees

160 NAIOP New Jersey members serve in one or more volunteer roles.

Committees are open to all members in good standing*. To volunteer, please contact designated staff.

Community Action Project                                New Volunteers Welcome! The CAP Committee helps to raise funds, in-kind materials and services, and recruit volunteers for NAIOP New Jersey's annual community action project.

Education Committee                                       Identifies the education needs of members and plans timely and relevant educational seminars.

Co-Chairs: Rob Crespi, Wolff & Samson, and Russ Tepper, Matrix Development Group. Staff contact: Bonnie Sovinee

Gala Committee                                                Plans, solicits tickets & sponsorships for and helps on the night of the Annual Commercial Real Estate Awards Gala.

Co-Chairs: Michael Seeve, Mountain Development Corp., and Gretchen Wilcox, Q10/G.S. Wilcox & Co. Staff contact: Bonnie Sovinee

Golf Committee                                                Plans, solicits sponsors and auction donations for and volunteers at the Annual Golf Outing.

Co-Chairs: Patrick Eichner, The Walsh Company LLC, and Doug Ewertsen, Wells Fargo.Staff contact: Bonnie Sovinee

Legal Action Committee                                   Monitors court actions for industry impact, reviews legal action requests and makes recommendations to the Board of Trustees.

Co-Chairs: Jack Fersko, Farer Fersko a Professional Association, and David Gordon, Wilentz Goldman & Spitzer. Staff contact: Michael McGuinness

Legislative Committee                                    Reviews legislation to assess industry impact, recommends positions on bills and suggests legislative action consistent with NAIOP New Jersey's public policy agenda.

Membership Committee                                 Develops strategies for attracting and retaining members. Follows up leads with personal contacts and invites prospects to join.

Developing Leaders Subcommittee            Develops programs, professional development and membership benefits exclusively for Developing Leaders.

Programs & Sponsorship Committee       Recommends topics, speakers and sponsors for Chapter Meeting programs.

Co-Chairs:Jamie Block, SK Properties, and Jim Petrucci, J.G. Petrucci & Co.

Public Affairs Committee* (Reserved for principal members who contribute to DPAC at the maximum level)

Public Relations Committee                          Develops messages and strategies for communicating NAIOP New Jersey's policy positions to members and the media.

Co-Chairs: Richard Cureton, Whitesell Construction Co., and Lydia Stefanowicz, Edwards Angell Palmer & Dodge. Staff contact: Barbara Morford

Regulatory Affairs Committee                         Monitors and reviews regulatory proposals, executive orders and other administrative decisions by state, regional and federal agencies. Recommends appropriate action consistent with NAIOP New Jersey's Public Policy Priorities, assists with the preparation of comments, plans annual Regulatory Update Seminar.

Energy Committee
Monitors implementation of NJ Energy Master Plan, including legislative, regulatory and code actions. Reviews legislative and rule proposals for industry impact and recommends appropriate action.
