8:30 AM to 10:30 AM C20160134 Social Media & Technology CORE Course 2 Credits. Randi Kochman of Cole Schotz (instructor) will be joined by: Ilene Jablonski (Mack-Cali Realty Corporation), Maria Semple (The Prospect Finder) and Jonathan Scharff (M Public Affairs). Love it or hate it, Social Media in all its forms is a must for any business, including commercial real estate. From “free” advertising and customer relationship building to news aggregation and reputation management, YouTube (the second largest search engine after Google), Facebook, Linkedin and Twitter can be powerful tools. Our experts will tell you what you need to know about the good (enhanced brand, stronger web presence, more traffic on your website), the bad (risks, ethics, liability) and the ugly (accepting that privacy is a relic of the past, managing negative attention). Plus: new guidance just released by the National Labor Relations Board regarding employee rights. You will also hear how commercial real estate firms are using Social Media to market properties, support their tenants and communities, and promote the industry.
